Yasmin Almonte

Born in January 14, 1957 in Caloocan, Metro Manila, Almonte graduated Magna Cum laude from the University of the Philippines, College of fine Arts in 1991.

 

She obtained her Master of Art with emphasis in painting at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa, USA in 1996, also, with Honors. She won an award of excellence during the 22nd Shell National Art Competition in 1989 and was a finalist in the Metrobank Painting Competition the next year.
